Itinerary

Day 1 to 3: San Francisco
Welcome to San Francisco, “the City by the Bay”. Discover a city of iconic sights, walkable neighbourhoods and world‑class dining. Explore Union Square, ride the famous cable cars, visit Lombard Street and PIER 39, and take in views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy time at leisure to discover vibrant neighbourhoods such as Chinatown, sample local cuisine, and soak up the city’s cultural energy.
Day 4: San Francisco to Sacramento
Today drive east to Sacramento. Explore the historic Old Sacramento Waterfront, wander through DOCO, and stroll Capitol Park before enjoying a farm‑to‑fork dining experience in America’s Farm‑to‑Fork Capital.
Day 5 to 6: Sacramento
Discover Sacramento’s diverse neighbourhoods, including Oak Park and Little Saigon, and experience the city’s rich cultural heritage. Explore vibrant street art, local markets and craft bars, and indulge in the city’s renowned food scene, including Michelin‑rated restaurants and locally sourced produce.
Day 7: Sacramento to Lake Tahoe
Travel to Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America. Take in breathtaking views at Emerald Bay, enjoy lakeside dining and relax with sunset views over the water.
Day 8 to 9: Lake Tahoe
Enjoy Lake Tahoe’s outdoor lifestyle with time for kayaking, paddleboarding, beach relaxation or scenic hikes. Ride the Heavenly Gondola for panoramic views, explore charming lakeside villages and enjoy the region’s vibrant dining and nightlife.
Day 10: Lake Tahoe to San Francisco
Farewell Northern California as you return your rental car and continue your onward journey.
